Add to home screen
You can add this app to your home screen so it opens like any other app, with no browser bar. Only do this when you feel it is safe.
On your home screen it appears as Daily Habits with a plain grey checkmark icon.
On iPhone, tap the share button in Safari, then choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the browser menu and choose Add to home screen or Install app.
Privacy tip
For maximum privacy, open Rosie in a private or incognito window. This means the browser will not save your history, searches, or anything you type. On iPhone, tap the tabs icon in Safari and select Private. On Android, tap the three dots in Chrome and select New Incognito Tab.
Read the digital safety guideNotifications
Choose how much your phone shows. Off is the safest choice and the one new accounts start with.
Full details never reach your lock screen. Your device must be unlocked and this app open before anything more than the neutral wording is shown.
PIN lock
Require a 4-digit PIN to open the app, and again after 2 minutes away.
Quick Exit
Tap the exit button once to leave the app quietly. Tap it three times quickly to send an alert to your trusted contacts and share your location at the same time.
Shake to exit
Shake your phone at any time to instantly leave the app.
Fake Call
Choose someone believable for your situation. This name and number will appear on your screen when you trigger a fake call.
Cover screen (decoy mode)
When on, Rosie opens on an innocent-looking daily habit tracker. Anyone who picks up the phone sees only habits. To get back to Rosie, tap the small square logo in the top-left corner three times quickly. Quick Exit will also return to the cover screen instead of leaving the app.
